About Yun-Fei Tou
In 1998, Yun-Fei Tou graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a major in photography.
Upon returning to Taiwan, he began his career as a photojournalist working for Rhythms Monthly. Later he became photographer-in-chief for a title published by the Common Wealth Magazine Group.
In both 2007 and 2008, Yun-Fei Tou was nominated for and received the Golden Tripod Award for Photography, an honor that reflects high achievement. The Government Information Office of Taiwan, Executive Yuan, presents the Golden Tripod Award.
Since 2009, Yun-Fei Tou has worked independently as a photographer on a number of long-term projects that include “Memento Mori”. Recently, images from this essay have been published in numerous magazines both domestically and internationally such as BUSINESS WEEKLY (TAIWAN) and PUNCTUM (INDIA). In addition, images have appeared in a number of group exhibits, like “Provocation” a juried invitational that was part of New York Photo Festival in 2011.
